The new SYNCHRO-NET deliverable D1.1 elaborates on laws, policies, standards, and other relevant documents that set the context for international logistics and supply chain management. The deliverable provides reviews of 87 key documents that the D1.1 team analyzed following a systematic six-step review protocol. The results of this analysis highlight potential barriers and opportunities for SYNCHRO-NET research and innovation. Major challenges include data privacy and the existing standardization framework. Promising opportunities, that SYNCHRO-NET work packages could unlock and exploit, include innovative cost optimization solutions, modern supply chain visibility technologies, and transfer of best practices across projects, geographies, and supply chain functions. The deliverable concludes by recommending directions and actions for each technical SYNCHRO-NET work package.
